Celebrating Black History Month with Family And Friends

This past February I wasn't able to celebrate Black History Month with in the way that I've become used to. For 33 years I had been a part of a wonderful live concert promoted by the Monroe County Library in Monroe, Michigan. However, this year Covid 19 really made a live concert impossible. Still, Bill Reiser, one of the architects of this free concert, decided that the show had to go on. So he asked if I would be willing lead a virtual concert in an, essentially, empty theater.

So on February 27th my wife, Bernice; son, Robert Jr.; daughter-in-law, Rosa; and daughter, Arnesia, along with friends Matt Watroba and Peter "Madcat" Ruth joined me in a celebration of Blues, Gospel and Folk. The whole concert can be seen on-line https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVqJ7hCgNzw&t=169s. However, this little clip will give you a bit of flavor of the evening.
